IM Injections
From £40
Injections are a quick and convenient way to administer selected preparations. Intramuscular injections deliver them directly into muscle tissue, from where they are absorbed into the bloodstream. The injection itself usually takes just a few moments, making it a convenient option for those who prefer a short appointment.
At IV Health Care, we offer:
- Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin)
- Triple B12 (containing hydroxocobalamin, adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin)
- Vitamin D
- Biotin
- NAD+ Booster Shot, which is administered subcutaneously.
Our qualified nurses will provide a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss your needs and assess which preparation may be suitable for you.

Why do people choose vitamin injections?
- B12 Methylcobalamin. An active form of vitamin B12, which supports normal nervous system function and red blood cell formation. A blood test is not routinely required before administration. Methylcobalamin can be administered intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously (IV), depending on the preparation and clinical assessment. As intramuscular injections can be very painful for some clients, the intravenous option may be considered as an alternative where clinically appropriate.
- B12 Hydroxocobalamin. Used to replenish vitamin B12 in people with a deficiency, which can cause tiredness and weakness. A blood test is required to confirm vitamin B12 deficiency before administration. A total B12 level below 180 ng/L is considered deficient under the clinic’s stated threshold.
- Biotin. Contributes to the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. A deficiency can affect the condition of the skin and hair.
- NAD+ Booster Shot. Chosen by people interested in energy metabolism and cellular function. Contains NAD+, a coenzyme involved in these processes. Suitability is assessed during an individual consultation.
- Triple B12. Combines three forms of vitamin B12, which is essential for normal nervous system function and red blood cell formation. It is a powerful antioxidant and has a positive effect on skin, hair and nails. Suitable for men and women aged 18 to 60. Blood test results are not required before administration, and treatment may be considered based on symptoms reported by the client following an individual clinical assessment.
- Vitamin D. Vitamin D is an essential vitamin that supports normal bone development and maintenance. It helps maintain healthy bones, teeth and muscles and plays an important role in the normal functioning of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system and immune system. Administered to replenish vitamin D in people with a confirmed deficiency. A blood test is required to confirm vitamin D deficiency (less than 25 nmol/L).
Aftercare following an intramuscular (IM) injection: Leave the dressing in place for at least 30 minutes. Keep the skin where you were injected clean and dry, and avoid getting it wet for at least one hour after treatment. Contact the clinic if you experience increasing pain, swelling, redness or any other concerning symptoms. Signs of a severe allergic reaction require immediate medical attention.
